This modern arena with 30.000 covered seats was officially opened in the first quarter of 2003. Normally the home venue of Geneva's Servette FC, the stadium will also be used to host three matches during UEFA European Football Championship 2008. Besides various sports events, for instance football and rugby, also concert events take place at the Stade de Genève. The stadium is primarily used as a venue for great sports events such as rugby, football and athletics. Furthermore other major events such as concerts are held here. The stadium was officially opened at the end of January 1998. In the same year FIFA World Cup took place here. In the stadium catacombs there is a museum with three halls, where besides already happened events also won trophies are exhibited. Additionally you can learn a little how the stadium was built and about its architecture. Daily guided tours are run every hour between 10.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. and last approx. an hour. Shown are the museum, the changing rooms and the stand. Moreover you can have a look behind the scenes. Admission is 10€ per person.

The stadium Stade Roi Baudouin, also known as the König-Baudouin-Stadium, was rebuilt to a modern concert and sports site in the mid-1990s. With 50.000 seats it is the largest stadium in Belgium.
Until the great disaster on May 29, 1985, which claimed 39 dead and more than 400 badly injured, was the stadium called Heysel-Stadium.
The stadium stood empty for many years, until it was rebuilt to the König-Baudouin-Stadium and reopened on August 23, 1995.
